8 Google Ads tools, compared
The best Google Ads tools for local service businesses
Most Google Ads tools hand you a list of fixes and leave the work to you. A few make the changes themselves. We compared eight on what an owner actually lives with: the price, the time it takes each week, and whether it does the work or only points at it.
We make myAgency, one of the eight, so read our pick with that in mind. Every price comes from the company’s own pricing page, checked September 25, 2026. All names are trademarks of their owners.
The eight tools, one by one
1. myAgency
Best for owners who want their Google Ads run for them
myAgency connects to your Google Ads account and reads it at 8 AM and 8 PM. Each time, it makes the changes that matter: it blocks searches that waste money, pauses keywords that stopped bringing in work, and adjusts your bids. Every change goes into a plain-English log that says what it found, what it changed, and why. If you would rather see each change first, you can approve, skip or undo every one.
Starting from scratch? It builds the campaign too: keywords, ads, budget and service area. It also checks that your conversion tracking is really recording.
“It makes it easy to see what needs to change. I like how it can make the changes for you.”Cedric, Founder, Hunter Tents & Events
- Price: $150 a month per Google Ads account, or $1,260 a year. The first look at your account is free and needs no card. The 7-day trial after that does.
- Pick it if: you want Google Ads handled without an agency and without learning the dashboard.
- Skip it if: you want Facebook or TikTok ads run in the same tool, or you like making every change by hand.
2. VibeAds
Best for very small budgets
VibeAds builds a Google Ads campaign and a landing page for you, and its free plan lets you publish one campaign. On the $20 Pro plan it suggests fixes in plain English and you approve each one. On the $149 Max plan it makes changes on its own and rolls them back after 48 hours if results drop. Pro adds a simple CRM for your leads, and Max adds call tracking.
- Price: free for one campaign. Pro is $20 a month and Max is $149 a month. Each plan comes with a monthly allowance of credits.
- Pick it if: you are starting small and want a simple builder with landing pages included.
- Skip it if: you want hands-off changes at the $20 price. On Pro, you approve every fix yourself.
3. Ryze AI
Best for running Google plus Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn ads
Ryze AI connects to several ad platforms at once and makes changes around the clock, with approval controls if you want to sign off first. It also sells SEO plans and higher tiers with human strategists.
- Price: Paid Ads Autopilot is $89 a month, with a 7-day free trial.
- Pick it if: you run ads on more than one platform and want one tool for all of them.
- Skip it if: Google is your only channel. A tool built for several platforms is more than you need.
4. Opteo
Best for approving every change yourself
Opteo watches your Google Ads and gives you a feed of suggested improvements. You review each one and apply it with a click. It is well liked, with one of the cleanest screens in the category, and it serves owners, freelancers and agencies.
- Price: $129 a month for up to 10 accounts and $25,000 a month in ad spend.
- Pick it if: you want to stay in control and have time each week to work through the list.
- Skip it if: you do not want another to-do list. See myAgency vs Opteo.
5. Adzooma
Best for free reports and alerts across Google, Microsoft and Facebook ads
Adzooma scans your ad accounts and lists ways to improve them. You pick the ones you want and apply them in a couple of clicks. The free plan covers unlimited ad accounts with monthly reports and a few alerts.
- Price: free. Silver is $69 a month with weekly reports, and Gold is $179 a month with daily ones.
- Pick it if: you want a free second pair of eyes on the account.
- Skip it if: you want the changes made without you.
6. Google Ads Editor
Best for doing it yourself, for free
Google Ads Editor is Google’s free desktop app for making changes in bulk. You download your account, edit it offline, and post the changes back. It never does anything on its own. Every decision is yours.
- Price: free.
- Pick it if: you know your way around Google Ads and want to make changes faster.
- Skip it if: the Google Ads dashboard already overwhelms you. Editor shows you more of it, not less.
7. Adalysis
Best for ad testing and account audits
Adalysis runs checks across your account, tests your ads against each other, and flags what needs fixing. It comes with more than 40 tools and covers unlimited Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts.
- Price: from $149 a month, rising with your ad spend. The base plan has a 30-day free trial.
- Pick it if: you are comfortable in Google Ads and want a detailed audit toolkit.
- Skip it if: you want someone else to do the fixing. See myAgency vs Adalysis.
8. Optmyzr
Best for agencies and PPC specialists
Optmyzr is a big toolkit for people who run Google Ads for a living. You build rules, run reports and use its optimization tools across many accounts. It is powerful, and it expects you to know what you are doing.
- Price: from $209 a month, with a 14-day free trial and no card needed.
- Pick it if: you manage accounts for clients and want control over every rule.
- Skip it if: you own the business and do not want to learn a PPC toolkit. See myAgency vs Optmyzr.
How we ranked them
One question decided the order: how much of the work does the tool take off an owner’s plate, for what it costs. Tools that make the changes themselves sit above tools that suggest them, and tools built for owners sit above tools built for agencies.
Prices come from each company’s own pricing page, checked on September 25, 2026. Plans change, so check before you buy. If you spot something out of date, email support@meetmyagency.com and we will fix it.
Common questions
What is the best Google Ads tool for a small local business?
It depends on whether you want to do the work. If you want it done for you, look at myAgency ($150 a month per account) or VibeAds Max ($149 a month). If you want to do it yourself, Google Ads Editor is free, and Opteo ($129 a month) makes its suggestions easy to act on.
Which Google Ads tools cost less than $150 a month?
Google Ads Editor and Adzooma’s free plan cost nothing. VibeAds Pro is $20 a month, Adzooma Silver is $69, Ryze AI is $89, Opteo is $129 and VibeAds Max is $149. myAgency is $150 a month per account, or $105 a month on the yearly plan. Adalysis starts at $149 and Optmyzr at $209.
What is the cheapest way to manage Google Ads without an agency?
Doing it yourself in Google Ads Editor is free, but you pay in hours. If you want the work done without an agency, pick a tool that makes the changes itself: Ryze AI is $89 a month across several platforms, VibeAds Max is $149, and myAgency is $150 per account, or $105 a month on the yearly plan. A typical small-business agency charges $500 to $1,500 a month on top of your ad spend.
What about WordStream?
WordStream’s free Google Ads Grader gives you a one-time report card on your account. It does not run anything. The management behind it is sold by LocaliQ after a sales call. We compare them in myAgency vs WordStream.
Can I see what’s wrong with my account before I pick anything?
Yes. Run the free Google Ads audit. It connects read-only, changes nothing, and shows you where your money is going: the bad clicks, the keywords that stopped working, and the searches you never show up for.
